Limescale has no place in your coffee recipe.

Over time, limescale builds up in a machine’s tank, boiler and heating circuits. Even a thin layer can interfere with heat transfer, forcing the equipment to work harder to reach the desired temperature. And water temperature matters when it comes to a good extraction.

Puly Descaler Espresso® is a liquid descaler designed to remove limescale from espresso machines, kettles and other compatible coffee-making equipment. It works in cold water, making it suitable for cleaning compatible components that are not heated, such as tanks and trays.

One important detail: this product is not suitable for aluminium materials. Before using it, check the instructions for your espresso machine and make sure the product is compatible.

HOW IT WORKS

The liquid formula helps dissolve limescale deposits that build up inside equipment. Regular descaling, adjusted to the hardness of your water, helps maintain proper machine performance.

The manufacturer recommends periodic cleaning based on water hardness, with an interval of no more than 30 days. For a Nivona espresso machine, the correct frequency and procedure should follow the machine’s user manual.

HOW TO USE IT

Important: check your machine’s manual before descaling and use only the products and procedures recommended for your model. Do not use this product on aluminium components.

For compatible machines, the manufacturer’s general instructions for espresso machines are:

1. Pour 125 ml of Puly Descaler Espresso® into the water tank with 400 ml of cold water.
2. Turn the machine on and off every 30 seconds until the solution has been used up.
3. Rinse the water tank.
4. Fill it with at least 3 litres of clean water and turn the machine on and off every 30 seconds until the water has been used up.

These are general instructions and do not replace your machine’s own descaling programme. If your Nivona manual specifies a different procedure, follow the espresso machine manufacturer’s instructions.
